Description
OverviewThe Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all customers.
Haig Point is a premiere private club in the lowcountry of South Carolina, located on Daufuskie Island. A private ferry brings our Members and Staff from Hilton Head Island to Daufuskie Island. The club has both an 18-hole signature course and a full length 9-hole course.
Experience Required
- Preferred: Entry Level PGA associate
- High School Diploma
- Two years in the golf industry
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with Member events such as the Member-Guest, Member-Member, etc.
- Manage daily operations such as the tee sheet, point-of-sale, weekly Member events, and meet daily customer service needs
- Play golf with all demographics of membership
- Manage the club repair program
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skill
- Must be coachable and have basic computer skill
- Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
- Providing the highest level of customer service, but going beyond customer service to build strong relationships with the members to be able to service and anticipate their needs
- Passionate about hospitality as it specifically pertains to the business of golf
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Personal drive and devotion to advance their career to the next level
- Approachable, friendly and open personality
- Professional level communication and accountability
- Able to work as a team for the greater good of the membership and all staff
