The Club at Crested Butte is seeking an outgoing, energetic General Manager to lead a premier private club in the Colorado Rockies. This hands-on leader serves as the visible face of the Club, setting the standard for exceptional service while overseeing daily operations and financial performance. The role works closely with Troon and Ownership to bring the Club's vision to life and offers the opportunity to lead a private club featuring golf, ski, fitness, racquet, dining, and recreational amenities.
Experience Required
Proven leadership experience at a high-end private club, preferably with a background in Membership, Golf Operations, or Food & Beverage.
Outgoing, personable, energetic, and honest, with a confident yet humble leadership style.
Strong ability to motivate teams, make sound decisions, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities.
Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, profitability, and operational performance.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, AI, club management systems, and emerging technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Members, staff, Troon, and Ownership.
Genuine enthusiasm for golf, skiing, fitness, and outdoor recreation.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
PGA/LPGA Class A membership or CMAA certification preferred.
Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform job duties.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain a visible, approachable presence throughout the Club, building lasting relationships and ensuring an exceptional Member experience.
Lead, mentor, and hold department managers accountable while fostering a positive, service-oriented culture.
Oversee all departments, ensuring consistent service, operational efficiency, and attention to detail.
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Maintain open communication with Troon and Ownership, align operational priorities with the Club's vision, and provide timely updates and recommendations.
Develop and execute annual business plans, capital improvements, and long-term initiatives.
Introduce fresh ideas and leverage technology to enhance operations and the Member experience.
Ensure all Club facilities, amenities, and grounds consistently meet the standards of a premier private club.
Represent the Club within the Crested Butte community and participate in local activities and events.
