DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

As a Mechanical Engineer 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Project Design: Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and design data in line with codes and engineering standards
• Budget Development: Create cost estimates during project planning to support budgeting and bidding processes
• Construction Support: Assist inspection staff by resolving issues found during construction at institutions
• Submittal Review: Evaluate contractor submittals and recommend actions or alternatives when needed
• Design Software Use: Create engineering documents and drawings with computer-based design tools
• Project Coordination: Share timely updates with supervisors and other departments to support effective project progress
