As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Asset & Wealth Management, Project Rio Team, you provide deep engineering expertise and work across agile teams to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your deep expertise to consistently challenge the status quo, innovate for business impact, lead the strategic development behind new and existing products and technology portfolios, and remain at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.
Job responsibilities
Manage US + EMEA Book of Work that crosses up to 25 engineering pods
Principled and disciplined solutions that are driven and implemented collaboratively
Develop solutions that cross multiple asset management domains
Ensure resilience and scalability are thought through all aspects of design and implementation
Be a thought leader in how neural network based tools can accelerate delivery
Partners with program management and stakeholders to ensure maximum transparency while delivering technical solutions
Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions
Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams
Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
Strong familiarity with Asset Management business and related technology solutions (across portfolio management, trading, investment accounting, etc.)
Strong understanding of investment accounting principles, portfolio management concepts and financial instruments
Expertise in software architecture principles and portfolio management to guide the decision making process and align technical solutions with business objectives
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements and deliver solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines
Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines
Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives
Understanding of the business
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus
