The Union Well, Inc. is an auxiliary of Sacramento State and is a California 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation. The corporation consists of the facility operations and programs of two buildings: The WELL (Recreation & Wellness Center) and The University Union. The WELL, totaling approximately 153,000 square feet, houses five fitness studios, a cardio suite, two fitness floors, a multi-activity court, three basketball courts, a rock-climbing wall, three racquetball courts, an indoor running track, locker rooms, an outdoor garden and a conference center. The WELL is also home to Student Health, Counseling and Wellness Services. The University Union facility, totaling approximately 220,000 square feet, currently houses food service operations, retail operations, multiple meeting and conference spaces, Associated Students, Inc., Student Organizations and Leadership offices, Women’s Resource Center, PRIDE Center, Pop-Up Shop, 20o2 at the UU, KSSU Student Radio, Public Information Desk, Games Room, Union Gallery, Terminal Lounge (music/video digital media), Student Computer Lounge, Relaxation Station, computer and printer workstations throughout the building, a University Police Service Center, and various open lounge spaces. The Coordinator, Training and Administration is a key part in the Union WELL’s growth and success by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support while managing enriching development programs for part-time staff and volunteers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of clerical functions and administrative support for The WELL’s operations and administrative offices including: assigning and completing work that supports/guides the staff in problem solving, customer service, software applications, training, onboarding, human resources, personnel, administrative assistance, record keeping and filing support.
Responsible for the management and administration of an organization-wide staff development and training program for all WELL part-time staff and volunteers that includes onboarding, professional development, and job-specific training.

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Communications, Recreation, Student Affairs, or a closely related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2. Demonstrated professional experience in an administrative support position.
3. Demonstrated experience typing documents, reports and correspondence, creating and updating spreadsheets to track data, and updating electronic databases.
4. Demonstrated experience in dealing with the public and customers. Ability to explain department policies and procedures to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
6. Demonstrated professional experience in training, onboarding, staff development, or administrative coordination.
7. Experience in handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
8. Demonstrated experience in use of computer applications including typing, word-processing, spreadsheets, and email such as the programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills. Demonstrated experience in working independently.
10. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent command of the English language including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
11. Demonstrated ability to perform duties in a fast-paced, demanding work environment and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of staff and the surrounding community.
12. Must pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting. Must continue to meet the established standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrated professional experience in human resources.
2. Experience in Abila/Sage MIP Fund Accounting Software and database program.
3. Experience on a college campus, and/or non-profit agency.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position that is covered under the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. Continued employment in this position is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises and the employee, and either University Enterprises or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
