Description
OverviewGrandover Resort is looking to add another Part-time Assistant Golf Professional to our team and continue their career in the golf industry. Grandover Resort is a Hotel & Conference Center with two Championship golf courses. The facility is open year-round. Grandover Resort is owned by Koury Ventures, LLC.
Experience Required
Grandover is looking for a full time Assistant Professional with experience in high-end public/resort facilities. This individual should be career minded and be motivated to work and learn in an environment that will allow them to grow in the golf business and hospitality industry. Experience in teaching, playing, tournament operations and high end customer service is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities

The scope of the below mentioned responsibilities only outline a fraction of the job duties required and are not limited to:
- An advocate for true golf experience as an ambassador the club, to the membership, golf staff, and community
- Provides leadership and communicates club's vision to staff and members alike, supporting the club's philosophy and mission.
- Is a representative of the management team in an utmost professional manner, internally and externally and at professional events
- Develops systems to measure and monitor effectiveness of staff, retail management programs, proper inventory control practices, service levels, and golf related events
- Implements the club's policies and procedures and maintains our excellent service levels to provide a first-class golf experience for guests.
- Ability to interact and be involved with all parts of the organization and its employees.
- Ability to develop and implement our golf business via social media, e-commerce, and other avenues of communication as it relates to merchandise, club events, lessons, clinics etc.
- Assists the Golf Operations team with all aspects of the golf operation, including the merchandising plan, teaching programs, and tournament operations.
- Provide golf instruction and clinics for all levels of golfers
- Ability to join and become part of an exceptional golf operations team to deliver exceptional customer service levels corresponding to the Companies vision and mission statement.
- Knowledge of Golf Genius Tournament Software as well as club essential point of sale systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Publisher.
- Basic club repair knowledge
- Ability to manage all job-related activities such as golf tournaments, pace of play, merchandising and inventory while maintaining a balanced professional life away from work.
- Assists guests including but not limited to tee time reservations, checking in, club information, golf rates, and club policies
- Ability to teach one on one lessons, group clinics, and golf camps
- Play golf at a high level as well as represent the club and company in local, regional, and national golf tournaments.

- Vacation: The Assistant Golf Professional shall be entitled to vacation per the employee handbook. Scheduling such vacation shall be approved by the Director of Golf.
- Insurance/401K: The Assistant Golf Professional is entitled to Major Medical, Comprehensive Health and Life Insurance as well as access to the company's 401K plan as defined in the Employee Handbook.
- PGA Dues: The Assistant Golf Professional will have their annual member dues paid in full submitting his request to the Director of Golf.
- Commission: 100% of all lessons, clinics, golf camps as well as additional income from basic club repairs
- Meals: Discounted Meal Plan available
- Privileges: use of the club and its facilities for both he/she and family. Golf course and practice facility,
- Education/Tournament Allowance: reimbursement for continuing education as approved by the Director of Golf.
- Uniforms: Grandover will provide uniforms to the Assistant Professional that enables he/she to dress in a professional manner on daily basis
