Description
OverviewAssists in administering all daily golf operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property environment, including facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating the POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, and supporting on-course and golf shop service functions.
Experience Required
- Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current PGA/LGPA Membership.
- Ability to read and speak English is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Essential Responsibilities
- Administer point of sale applications for green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing, and coordinate policy and procedure updates with accounting.
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, receive payments, resolve discrepancies, and track force posts and no-show charges.
- Initiate and promote club golf activities.
- Create lesson plans and provide individual and group instruction.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop and assist with merchandising and sales.
- Supervise preparations for golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
- Monitor member scores, report handicapping to the USGA, and bill members.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, disciplining associates, and resolving complaints.
- Assist in managing Starters, Player Assistants, and Guest Services Attendants.
- Support orientation and ongoing training programs for associates.
- Monitor business volume forecasts and plan staffing, productivity, costs, and expenses accordingly.
- Implement and maintain excellent service standards to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Conduct staff meetings and incorporate safe work practices.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform other duties as required.
