Overview

Full-time Assistant Golf Professional opportunity at The Refuge Golf Course in Flowood, Mississippi. The role supports a positive experience for members and guests while providing opportunities to grow knowledge of golf club operations.

Experience Required

• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.
• Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in administering point-of-sale application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member and guest billing.
• Coordinate with Accounting Departments on policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, receive payments from members and guests, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Track all force posts and no-show charges as applicable.
• Promote all club golf activities.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
• Assist the retail buyer with procurement and merchandise, and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
• Prepare for all golf outings, including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
• Assist with associate training.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
