Cottonwood Palo Verde HOA#2 is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as an Assistant Golf Professional in our golf operation.

Located in the beautiful Sun Lakes community, Cottonwood Palo Verde features 36 holes across two stunning golf courses with separate golf shops. We host over 80,000 rounds a year, serve 700+ members, and bring in over $3 million annually. Our community prides itself on providing a premier golfing experience and a welcoming environment.

Experience Required

Preferred Skills

• Computer, telephone and other light technical skills
• Retail sales experience

Education

• PGA Associate, PGA Member, or willingness to pursue PGA Membership preferred.
• Proficiency with golf management software, point-of-sale systems, tournament management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and other golf operations technology preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced high-touch environments.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Essential Responsibilities

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for supporting the daily operations of Cottonwood/Palo Verde Golf Courses while helping maintain a high standard of customer service and an enjoyable golf environment for homeowners, members, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Golf Operations and working alongside the 1st Assistant Golf Professional, this position assists with coordinating tournaments and golf events, providing golf instruction, overseeing pace of play, supporting merchandise sales, and ensuring efficient day-to-day golf operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the game of golf, demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, and takes pride in building positive relationships with golfers and fellow employees. This individual will contribute to the continued success of Cottonwood/Palo Verde Golf Courses by promoting a friendly, professional atmosphere and consistently delivering quality service.
