Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) is proud to expand our long-standing partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are seeking talented Senior Software Developers to join our growing Professional Services team.

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with AWS technical teams and contribute to the development of innovative, mission-critical solutions for a diverse range of customers. Our Professional Services division supports high-visibility projects where developers play a key role in designing, building, and delivering scalable cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure software applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and the development of cloud-based applications.
• Implement best practices for code quality, performance, and security.
• Support integration between various systems and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Work effectively within Agile or iterative development environments.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Proven experience in software development, building and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar).
• Experience with cloud-based or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps or automated deployment practices.
• Experience supporting federal or defense customers.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS or other cloud certifications).
• Understanding of modern application architectures, such as microservices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
