Overview

Part-time seasonal camp instructor role supporting a positive experience for members and guests while growing knowledge of golf club operations at Sanctuary Lake Golf Course.

Experience Required

• Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Golf Professional in the day-to-day operations of junior summer camps.
• Oversee range set-up and equipment; help maintain the driving range, lesson tee, and storage shed.
• Promote club golf activities, including junior golf clinics.
• Instruct and assist in the development of assistants and educate teaching staff with clinics and/or roundtable sessions.
• Coordinate and teach clinics on a weekly basis.
• Act as a liaison regarding golf school schedules, needs, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of teaching aids on property, including video equipment.
• Assist in the creation of lesson plans.
• Support interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, and resolving problems.
• Manage department members including golf professionals and guest services attendants.
• Assure effective orientation and training for new associates and develop ongoing training programs.
• Monitor business volume forecasts and plan manpower, productivity, costs, and expenses accordingly.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
