Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a small, patient-focused medical office in Lucedale, MS. This is a full-time position supporting both clinical and front desk duties in a close-knit, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and medical histories
- Assist provider during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and basic lab procedures as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage daily patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Answer phones, greet patients, and assist at the front desk as needed
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for use
- Follow all HIPAA, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Experience taking and recording patient vital signs is required
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Previous experience as a medical assistant or medical receptionist (2+ years preferred)
