Job Summary The Compensation Consultant 2 provides strategic compensation consulting and project management for competitive pay programs and pay-for-performance philosophies. Essential Functions of the Role * Works strategically across functional areas to identify, plan, develop and deliver compensation services and tools with high quality outcomes. * Manages compensation projects and initiatives. This may include the Compensation Committee, annual merit planning, incentive programs, and job architecture. * Helps with projects, maintains project timelines, creates presentations, communication materials, policies, etc. * Partners with Compensation management and HR Business Services to develop compensation strategies and practices. * Socializes new or changed pay programs with HR Business Services and business managers to include presentations for areas helped. * Responds to internal requests for job reviews, pricing new positions, and equity adjustments. Ensure internal and external equity. * Conducts complex internal and external third-party market testing and reviews. * Researches compensation trends and best practices in the external market. Partners with HR and business leadership to improve pay programs and market position. * Conducts periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data. * Responds to data requests. * Mentors compensation staff and provides performance and development feedback. Key Success Factors * Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) highly desirable. * Knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures. * Knowledge of health care industry is preferred. * Relationship management and conflict resolution skills. * Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Excellent ability to work with and influence all levels of management. * Excellent data skills. * Ability to work under pressure and regularly reprioritize tasks.
