Overview

As a member of the Golf Management team the Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional in all aspects the golf operation: tee times, course play, tournaments and outings, lessons, merchandising, training, etc. Able to provide highly efficient and superior customer service, maintain and provide daily records to assist Head Golf Professional with reports and supervising the outside service staff.

Essential Responsibilities

Assits the Head Golf Professional with hiring, training and supervising the outside service staff. Ensures that all staff is presentable, well-groomed and in established uniforms at all times.

Manage the outside service staff. Help the outside service staff during peak times, to make sure we are providing the the best possible service to members and their guests.

Help develop and implement junior clinics and camps.

Assits members and their guests by providing and interpreting golf polices, rules and regulations.

Maintains the handicap computer including adding new members and transmitting records.

Performs starter and marshall duties as needed.

Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional.

Interprets and enforces Club's rules and regulations and ensures that the outside service staff is familiar with and enforces these rules.

Follows directives and completes assignments with a minimum of supervision.

Provides members with a club fitting and golf club repair service.

Assumes the Head Golf Professional duties in his absence.

Monitors and "works" the range to provide member assistance and ensures range standard's.

Submits billing to property accountant for special member events.

Act as a role model for all outside service staff by demostrating the behavior and work ethic expected by all employees.

Give 100% effort everyday to ensure we are providing the best possible golf opertaion for members and guests.

Work as a team with golf course maintenance staff and food and beverage staff.

Expected  to attend the Tennessee PGA Annual Meeting and Chattanooga Chapter Meetings.
