Under new leadership, the University at Buffalo Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery is expanding rapidly. This position offers the opportunity to build a high-volume surgical practice with full autonomy, an immediate referral base of more than one million patients, and the support of a major academic institution.
Practice Highlights
Referral base serving more than 1 million patients
Practice across two major health systems
Full autonomy in practice development and case selection
Wide-open referral market allowing rapid practice growth
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality general and or sleep otolaryngology care
Build a clinical practice aligned with your interests and expertise
Practice across Erie County Medical Center and Kaleida Health
Participate in medical student and resident education (optional)
Opportunities for research, teaching, or program development if desired
Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree
Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Eligible for New York State medical licensure
Commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration
Entrepreneurial spirit and vision for growth
Compensation
Base Salary: $450,000 - $550,000++ (commensurate with experience; this is the floor).
Productivity incentives: High-volume surgeons can earn well beyond base compensation. The model directly rewards productivity and practice growth.
Additional benefits include performance bonuses, comprehensive benefits and retirement plans, and an academic appointment at the University at Buffalo available for those interested.
