Chardonnay Golf Club, is a premiere 18-hole semi-private golf facility located Southeast of the city of Napa in Jameson Canyon at the gateway to the world renown Napa Valley Wine District.  Designed by Algie Pulley, our championship golf course offers a variety of challenges for players of all skill levels. The 18-hole layout features a unique blend of golf holes consisting of six par fives, six par fours and six par threes that meander through over 150 acres of vineyards. five sets of tees (Professional - Black, Tournament - Burgundy, Men's - Green, Seniors - Ivory, and Ladies - Gold) to choose from and a wide variety of native trees, shrubs and wildlife. Several areas of the property are designed as wildlife preserves and are dedicated to maintaining wildlife habitat among the vineyards and fairways.

Experience Required

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience as a General Manager or similar managerial role at a golf course or within the hospitality industry
• 2 years of experience managing financials including Profit & Loss Statements preferred
• Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Point of Sale, Outlook, etc.
• Understanding of golfing industry
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills

Essential Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

 

Chardonnay Golf Club is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of club operations, including golf operations, food & beverage, weddings and events, hospitality, and member services. This role works closely with department managers and company leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance.

 

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, developing and monitoring budgets, supervising and training staff, overseeing tournaments, pro shop, range and cart operations, merchandising, tee sheet and POS systems, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and safety standards.

 

A major focus of this position is leading the food & beverage team, driving wedding and event sales, and promoting the club within the community to support continued growth and member satisfaction. The General Manager plays a critical role in fostering strong relationships with members, guests, employees, and the surrounding community while supporting the long-term success of Chardonnay Golf Club.
