Overview

New Berlin Hills Golf Course in New Berlin, Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Golf Shop Assistant to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing knowledge of golf club operations.

Experience Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Motivated to thrive in the golf industry.
• Experienced in written and oral business communication.
• Experienced in computer use, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher; proficient with email, internet, and database management.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market.
• Service- and customer-focused attitude.
• Maintains and promotes a positive professional image within the community.
• High school diploma required.
• Some college or a college degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Previous golf course or retail experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals with the daily management of golf operations.
• Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconcile daily tee sheets.
• Assist in administering point-of-sale application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member and guest billing.
• Promote all club golf activities.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
• Assist with maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership.
• Assist golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games.
• Monitor members' scores, report handicapping to the USGA, and bill members.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.
