Overview

Potomac Shores Golf Club is seeking a Golf Shop Attendant to support daily golf operations in a hospitality-focused environment while providing superior service.

Experience Required

• Prefer previous golf course and/or retail experience
• High School Diploma
• Prefer some college or college degree, or equivalent experience
• Must be motivated to thrive in the golf industry
• Experienced in written and oral business communication
• Experienced computer user including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher; proficient in email, internet, and database applications
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
• Service and customer focused attitude
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations
• Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconcile daily tee sheets
• Assist in administering point of sale application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing
• Promote all club golf activities
• Assist with maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop
• Assist with maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership
• Assist golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games
• Monitor members' scores, report handicapping to USGA, and bill members
• Follow established opening and closing procedures
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Perform other duties as required
