This position is for the 2027 Golf Season.

Clio Country Club is a private, member-owned golf course located in Clio, Michigan. The golf course offers 6 sets of tees and plays 6,820 from the back tees with a course rating and slope of 73.1/139.

Clio Country Club offers a private club experience in an informal and laid-back atmosphere. We provide quality golf and dining opportunities for members, families, and guests.

Clio Country Club is managed by an elected Board of Directors that maintains a fiscally sound investment and challenging golf course. This is accomplished by fostering an authentic feeling of fellowship and commitment among all members.

Clio Country Club is searching for a Head Golf Professional who will be responsible for the running of the entire golf operation, as well as the merchandise concession. Successful candidates will meet the criteria set forth in the accompanying position description.

The Head Golf Professional will report to the Board of Directors and manage the golf shop operations and all related activities and services. This includes a well-stocked golf shop with merchandise that meets the member's needs. This is a seasonal position from March 15, 2027 thru November 1st, 2027. There may be minimal duties in the off-season such as answering emails and returning phone calls or securing outside golf events for the following season.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Providing a high level of service to member and guests.

- Overseeing the daily golf operations and play on the course.

- Promoting and coordinating the club's complete golf program.

- Promoting and coordinating member tournaments and golf outings.

- Lend support to the junior golf program.

- Providing golf lessons and clinics for all skill levels.

- Managing golf car and practice range operations.

- Playing golf with members of all skill levels.

- Interpreting and enforcing The Rules of Golf and club policies.

- Maintaining regular communication and interaction with the Board of Directors and any committees related to the job.

Experience and Qualifications:

- PGA Class A Member or Associate in good standing.

- Experience in all aspects of private club operations.

- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

- Ability to interact with the membership and generate participation from all member segments.

- Strong computer skills and ability to utilize golf related applications.

- College degree preferred.
