Overview
Sawyer | Berson Architecture & Landscape Architecture, LLP is an award-winning interdisciplinary design firm based in New York City. Our practice integrates architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design to create thoughtfully designed residential environments throughout the United States and internationally.
We are seeking a Junior Landscape Architect/Designer for a full-time, in-office position in our Manhattan office. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple landscape typologies, including residential and cultural projects, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to produce thoughtful, accurate construction drawing sets for complex landscape projects. Working closely with Project Managers and Principals, this individual will contribute across all phases of project development while supporting the firm's commitment to design excellence and technical rigor.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of work experience
- Ability to contribute to the production of high-quality construction drawing sets
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; Rhino and/or other 3D modeling software are a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of plant materials, particularly USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 6 and 7, is preferred
- Professional licensure and construction experience are pluses, but not required
