Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Acute Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Post‑Anesthesia Nurse (PACU RN) for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Hartford, CT. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in fast‑paced recovery environments and provides safe, compassionate care to patients emerging from anesthesia. Job Function: Shift: 40 hrs | 5x8 Days. Provide individualized, emotionally supportive post‑operative nursing care in accordance with anesthesiologist and attending physician instructions. Monitor and document patient vital signs, airway status, pain level, and level of consciousness per PACU protocols. Assist anesthesiologists and attending physicians during post‑operative recovery as needed. Document all nursing activities thoroughly, including writing a discharge note once the anesthesiologist clears the patient for transfer. Ensure all PACU equipment and supplies are stocked, functional, and readily available. Maintain a safe environment and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
