About the Position

• Requirements: Board Certified, Active Pennsylvania License, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS.
• Schedule: Need coverage for both days and nights. 12 hour shifts 7a.7p, 7p-7a. Estimated 8-10 shifts per month. Minimum of 4 per month

• Inpatient coverage for Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service at Level 2 Trauma Center.
• AM rounds, followed by OR first assisting, seeing new EGS consults, managing inpatient service, seeing/managing trauma activations, and critical care management.
• Candidate must be able to perform bedside procedures like I&Ds, lac repairs, chest tube placement, central line placement. There are 2 APPs staffed during day, and 1 APP at night, working in tandem with Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons.

  Average census: 20pts per day
  AVG admissions per day: 5
  AVG admissions per night: 2-5
  AVG consults per day: <10
  AVG consults per night: >5
