Physician Assistant | Surgery - Trauma Location: Robbinsdale, MN Employer: SalviaCore Solutions Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP
About the PositionResponsibilities
- Function as a trauma hospitalist rounder, performing daily rounding and comprehensive management of all patient conditions.
- Respond to the Emergency Department for trauma alerts and trauma activations.
- Manage ER admissions and facilitate patient discharges.
- Perform intermittent ED consultations and various surgical or trauma procedures as needed.
- Utilize Epic for all clinical documentation and tracking.
- Work autonomously with the 24-hour support of an on-site Trauma Surgeon.
- Provide care for patients across the lifespan, with a primary focus on adult and adolescent populations.
- Board Certification: Must be a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C). Please note that Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are not eligible for this role.
- Licensure: A valid Minnesota State License is required at the time of name clear.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of practice as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an inpatient setting is required. Optimal candidates will have experience in trauma, ICU, and/or orthopedics.
- Certifications: Active ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications are required.
- Compliance: An active DEA is required, with verbal confirmation at the time of name clear. A Self-Query NPDB report must be provided at the time of presentation and must be pulled within the same month as the submission.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in ventilation management (including BiPAP/CPAP), chest tube insertion, central lines, arterial lines, and suturing minor lacerations is preferred.
- Local candidates are preferred.
