Doctor of Medicine | Ophthalmology Location: Providence, RI Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Brown University Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ophthalmology Physician to join our well-established and collaborative Ophthalmology department in Providence, Rhode Island. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic, academically affiliated environment with access to modern surgical facilities and a strong referral network. The selected physician will join a team of 12 ophthalmology providers delivering a comprehensive blend of primary eye care and specialty services. Clinical responsibilities include both outpatient and surgical care, with the opportunity to practice at two fully equipped surgical centers located in Providence, RI and Attleboro, MA. Academic Opportunities: Active involvement in a residency program with Brown-affiliated medical students Opportunity to work with and mentor Physician Assistant students during clinical rotations Strong emphasis on teaching, mentorship, and academic engagement Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary: $225,000 – $325,000, plus RVU-based productivity incentives Three-year employment agreement Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, CME allowance, and malpractice coverage Potential sign-on bonus and retention bonus Generous paid time off and professional development support Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for or active Rhode Island medical licensure (required) Massachusetts medical licensure (preferred) Fellowship training or specialization in Cornea (preferred) This is an outstanding opportunity for an ophthalmologist seeking a balanced clinical and academic career within a respected health system in the Northeast.
