Overview

Part-time Pro Shop Attendant position supporting golf shop and outside operations at Garrisons Lake Golf Club. The role focuses on creating a positive experience for members and guests while contributing to daily golf club operations, including guest check-in, reservations, point-of-sale transactions, inventory display, cart and equipment setup, and support of pace-of-play and practice facility operations.

Experience Required

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be coachable and have basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform clerk/cashier-like duties.
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collect green and cart fees and other revenue from guests and process them in the POS system as trained.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the close of the day.
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• When acting as outside staff, perform starter/ranger-like duties.
• Welcome and greet guests and players in a friendly manner.
• Explain rules and course etiquette to groups if needed.
• Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet and maintain organized storage areas and practice facility.
• Assist with set-up and organization of golf carts and equipment for regular tee time starts or outings.
• Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play to prevent delays.
• Answer questions in a friendly manner and keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary.
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible.
• Pick up and clean practice balls when scheduled.
