Shift / Schedule: 5x8 Hours; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Summary
This is a 13-week contract position for a Radiation Therapist at an outpatient oncology clinic. The role requires immediate clinical productivity with no orientation or on-boarding needed - the therapist will start directly in the clinic. The facility treats adult patients across benign disease and cancer diagnoses, with 99% outpatient volume. The clinic specializes in advanced procedures including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). No call, float, or weekend requirements are mandated.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver external beam radiation therapy to adult outpatients using ARIA treatment planning and delivery systems
- Operate Truebeam treatment units to execute prescribed radiation protocols
- Perform pretreatment setup and patient positioning for various treatment sites
- Conduct CBCT/kV/mV imaging for beam modification and patient alignment verification
- Administer specialized treatments including SRS, SBRT, IMRT, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and respiratory gating procedures
- Maintain treatment records and verify systems using ARIA and Vision RT equipment
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and safety standards in a high-volume outpatient setting (25 visits per day)
- ARRT T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapy) certification - required credential
- Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
- Proficiency with ARIA Record & Verify System and treatment planning software
- Hands-on experience operating Truebeam linear accelerators
- Expertise in external beam radiation therapy techniques and protocols
- Skill in adult outpatient oncology treatment settings
- Proficiency with CT simulation and simulation of treatment sites
- Competency in CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and verification
- Knowledge of specialized treatment modalities including IMRT, SRS, SBRT, and respiratory gating
- Experience treating benign brain tumors, heterotopic bone lesions, keloids, and prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient clinic with no orientation period
- Must have ARIA and Truebeam experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Vision RT treatment units
- Prior travel or contract radiation therapy experience
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Locals accepted with same pay rate
- ARRT T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapy) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
- Clinical experience in adult outpatient oncology settings
- Hands-on operational experience with Truebeam linear accelerators
- Demonstrated proficiency with ARIA treatment planning and Record & Verify systems
- Fast-paced outpatient oncology clinic with 25 patient visits per day
- 1:1 patient ratio in a single-room clinic setting
- No call requirements; no float requirements; no weekend requirements
- RTO (Return to Origin) policy: Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per AYA auto-offer
- RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO on-unit could result in cancellation and DNR (Do Not Resend)
- Scrubs required (royal blue; not provided by facility)
- 40-hour work week across 5 consecutive 8-hour shifts
- Clinic treats only the adult population, from benign disease to cancer diagnosis
- 99% of patients are outpatients; 1% are inpatients
- The only special procedures performed are SRS (stereotactic radiosurgery) and SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy)
