Description
The Lexington Rescue Mission (LRM) is seeking a full-time Resource Specialist (RS) at 40/hours a week. LRM is a Christ centered nonprofit that strives to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of hurting people in the greater Lexington area. The Resource Specialist works directly with clients during walk-in hours, meeting with them to assess their needs, provide compassionate care, and support. The RS provides case management, education, and advocacy to help clients connect with community resources. The RS provides case management and services for our Homeless Intervention Program. The RS maintains documentation and tracking of clients information in Charity Tracker and HMIS. The RS is also responsible for documenting and tracking outputs and outcomes for walk-in hours and our Homeless Intervention program.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Social Work or related field
- Direct service experience in social work or human services
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, empathy, and compassion
- Capacity to be flexible and handle conflict
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness
- Ability to maintain clients' privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work with students and volunteers to sort and organize donations.
- Spiritually mature
- Computer skills and internet literacy
- Spanish fluency preferred
- Push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
