Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients within pediatric, adult, and senior demographics utilizing established assessment tools and observation methods.
- Craft tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing therapy.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing professionals, physicians, caregivers, and families to design seamless care pathways.
- Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a consistent care journey for patients.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
- Engage with ongoing training and peer collaboration to remain at the forefront of the field.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
