Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized methods and observational clinical practices.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
Collaborate effectively with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care plans.
Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond clinical appointments.
Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
Stay abreast of advancements in the speech therapy field through ongoing education and collaborative practices.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is an advantage.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based practices applicable to all age groups, with a firm grasp on developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding interpersonal communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capacity to adapt therapy methodologies to fit diverse cultural backgrounds and linguistic needs.
Solid clinical reasoning and adept problem-solving skills.
Proficient in handling electronic medical records while adhering to documentation standards.
