Job Opportunity At Norton Gastroenterology Consultants Of Louisville NORTON GASTROENTEROLOGY CONSULTANTS OF LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, is recruiting full-time board-certified or board-eligible physicians specializing in general gastroenterology to join its growing practice on the campus of Norton Audubon Hospital which currently consists of two advanced gastroenterology specialists, one general gastroenterologist (joining 9.27) and two advanced practice providers. Established more than 30 years ago, this group is an integral part of Norton Medical Group, the employed physician practice division of Norton Healthcare. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with hospitalists, intensivists and emergency department physicians at all four of Norton Healthcare's adult-service hospitals in Louisville. Additionally, the practice is part of a large referring network of more than 2,000 employed medical providers, including more than 300 adult primary care practitioners. About the position: Training in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography preferred. Work schedule includes a combination of office and hospital consultation work, together with daily block scheduling for a full array of state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures. Small bowel capsule endoscopy, breath testing and SmartPill technology are available. 1 in 6 call. The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
