Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments through detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history evaluations.
- Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through analyzing imaging studies and laboratory results.
- Work in partnership with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment protocols.
- Provide intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently handing off instruments during surgeries.
- Offer exceptional pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and thorough patient education.
Education Requirements
- Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program.
- Clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical procedures are highly preferred.
Certifications Needed
- Active and unrestricted PA-C certification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant.
