Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Setting: Operating Room
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment in a high-acuity Operating Room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma experience, prior travel experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical setting while supporting surgeons and the perioperative team throughout a variety of procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain sterile fields during surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members before, during, and after operations.
- Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly prepared and available.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instrumentation and support.
- Adhere to infection prevention, sterilization, and safety protocols.
- Perform instrument counts and maintain accurate surgical documentation as required.
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and surgical support throughout the perioperative process.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Previous travel assignment experience required.
- Minimum recent Operating Room experience required.
- Level I Trauma Center experience strongly preferred.
- High proficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties.
- Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment.
