Job Summary

Copley Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. The Surgical Technologist performs a wide variety of duties to assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of surgical patients while maintaining a safe and sterile environment at all times. This role includes an on-call component and requires adherence to all applicable State and Federal healthcare regulations and policies.

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and other operating room staff during procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly prepared and available.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed.
• Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly when scheduled.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety regulations, and healthcare standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Previous Operating Room experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Experience in multiple surgical specialties.
• Ability to adapt quickly during emergency procedures.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment handling.

• On-call availability required.
• Must comply with all applicable State and Federal healthcare laws and regulations.
