Surgical Technologist – Operating Room | 13-Week Contract

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join a busy Operating Room team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: 06/29/2026
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Evenings
• Schedule: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Call Required
• Orientation: 12 hours

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of full-time Surgical Technologist experience
• Active Surgical Technologist credentials/license as required
• BLS Certification required
• Experience in Orthopedic, Vascular, and General Surgery required
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile field throughout procedures
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical staff
• Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup
• Support surgical teams during a variety of procedures while adhering to safety and infection-control standards

Department Information:

• Operating Room with 6 surgical suites plus 1 hybrid room
• Approximately 20–30 surgical cases performed daily
• High-volume orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery service lines
• Charge nurse and specialty leads available for support and guidance

• Orthopedic Procedures and Total Joint Replacements
• Vascular Surgery
• General Surgery
• Spine Surgery
• Urology Procedures
