American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care hospital contract in a Burn Unit, requiring Epic experience and a 4x10 day shift schedule including every weekend.
Details- Placement is in the Burn Unit of an acute care hospital setting
- Shift schedule is 4x10 hours, days (8:00–18:30), working Saturday and Sunday each week plus 2 additional shifts Monday–Friday
- Patient population consists of burn patients with 0–100% TBSA burns requiring physical therapy for mobility, positioning, pain management, and prevention of contractures and scarring
- Patient load ranges from 2–8 patients per day depending on census, with higher census in cooler months
- May assist with outpatient PT evaluations and therapy if time allows
- Floating within the inpatient setting is required
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Facility will consider both PT and OT candidates
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Burn unit or acute care experience strongly implied by unit demands
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Active Louisiana (LA) PT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be documented and explained
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of burn patients focusing on mobility, positioning, and prevention of contractures and scarring
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
