About the PositionPhysical Therapist — Outpatient, Colorado Springs, CO
Provide outpatient physical therapy services to help patients recover from injuries and improve function. Complete comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement interventions consistent with physician direction and patient goals. Deliver care using 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups. Document clinical care accurately and timely, including goals, functional assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in accordance with regulatory and clinic policies. Supervise and direct discipline-specific therapy services and participate in student education as assigned. Maintain professional licensure and practice in accordance with the State Practice Act and organizational policies. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in performance improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Entry-level degree (Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Colorado physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience providing outpatient physical therapy, including evaluations and plan of care development.
- Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up treatment sessions.
- Competence in documentation and billing processes consistent with state, federal, and payer requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supervising therapy students or supporting clinical education.
- Experience with functional treatment programs aimed at community re-integration.
- Experience working within outpatient clinic workflows and electronic medical record systems.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 5x8.
- Outpatient setting with 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.
- May be asked to float to other nearby facilities as operational needs require.
