About the PositionLooking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Windsor, CT at an outpatient clinic where you will treat patients recovering from musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries. You will evaluate and treat patients, communicate treatment plans and progress to medical teams and specialty physicians, and collaborate with center colleagues to identify care issues. This role requires working within an outpatient orthopedic therapy team and following established clinical protocols.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Current, active Connecticut physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience evaluating and treating outpatient orthopedic/musculoskeletal patients in a clinic setting.
- Ability to communicate treatment plans and patient progress to medical teams, including orthopedic and hand surgeons.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior outpatient orthopedic experience in a fast-paced clinic setting.
- Experience working collaboratively with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Assignment Details
- Monday through Friday schedule with typical outpatient hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM as indicated by client behavior characteristics.
- Clinic setting focused on outpatient orthopedics and musculoskeletal care.

Impacting Patient Care
Contract physical therapists will support recovery for patients with orthopedic conditions by providing evidence-based evaluations and treatment. Therapists will report patient progress to in-house and specialty physicians, contribute to coordinated care plans, and assist colleagues in identifying clinical issues to improve patient outcomes.
