About the PositionTravel Physical Therapist — Home Health in Walla Walla, WA
Join a home health team serving Walla Walla County and surrounding areas as a traveling Physical Therapist. Provide skilled evaluations, plan of care implementation, and patient-centered treatment for adults with acute and chronic conditions in home settings. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and a manager while working with an assigned geographic territory that may extend into neighboring counties.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Washington physical therapy license required to start the assignment. Oregon license required or candidate must be willing to obtain OR licensure while working on the assignment.
- At least 12 months of home health physical therapy experience within the past 3 years.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working as part of an interdisciplinary home health team.
- Comfort managing a geographic patient caseload and traveling up to approximately 60 miles within the assigned territory.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Workweek: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- Territory includes Walla Walla County, lower Columbia County, and into Umatilla County (up to about 60 miles).
- Assigned to a geographic team and works with a manager and interdisciplinary team.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide skilled, in-home physical therapy interventions that support patient independence and recovery. Work collaboratively with nursing and therapy colleagues to implement individualized care plans and document outcomes using the facility EMR. Your role will support safe discharges, functional gains, and continuity of care across the community.
