Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency care, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment
- Perform invasive and non-invasive monitoring and diagnostic testing for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Manage and operate mechanical ventilators and interpret EKG readings
- Deliver patient education related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Monitor and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper function
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will also be considered
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
- Proficiency with mechanical ventilators required
- Proficiency with EKGs required
- Active Michigan state respiratory therapy license required
- Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NBRC certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred
- Experience in a tertiary or trauma center setting preferred
