Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician position available in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role involves assisting in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintaining sterile techniques, and supporting surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program; BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license; 2 or more years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in surgical scrub in multiple specialty areas including but not limited to Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Ribs, Robotics, etc.
• Additional Information: Blocked scheduling accommodated; no weekend requirement; on-call requirement; floating: float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities: Assist in preparing the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type; monitor aseptic techniques; transport patients to and from the OR; identify and care for biological specimens; perform intraoperative duties under the supervision of a professional nurse; maintain a sterile environment; ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical supplies and instruments; adapt patient care to meet population-specific needs.
