RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Required to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (2 maximum attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass simulation lab on day one of orientation
• Float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart)
• Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• May float to different units mid-shift or between campuses during single shift
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in when arriving at another
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on telemetry units and 1:4 on medical-surgical units
• Must be able to interpret EKGs and work with centralized telemetry monitoring
• Work every other weekend on telemetry units or 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period on medical-surgical units
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Navy scrubs required
• Floor-specific orientation of 2 days for each unit
• Use Cerner charting system
• Care for patients including post-cardiac procedures, post-surgical, neuro patients, orthopedic, and oncology patients
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
