Veterinary Technician

Compensation: $16-$20/hour, depending on the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skill set, and credentials (CVT/LVT/RVT)

Schedule: Full-time | Daytime GP hours | No overnights

Shifts are 7:45am-6:00pm (4, 10 hour days), Occasional Saturdays: 8:00am-1:00pm

Thrive Pet Healthcare - Legacy is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, patient-focused team. This is a hands-on general practice role ideal for technicians who enjoy variety, teamwork, and practicing quality medicine in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll support patient care by:

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post-operative care
• Preparing patients and instruments for procedures
• Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I-III)
• Performing in-house diagnostics and laboratory testing
• Operating digital radiography and other diagnostic equipment
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment and exam areas
• Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety
• Collaborating closely with doctors, techs, and assistants

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills

• 1+ year of veterinary technician or assistant experience
• Credentialed techs (CVT/LVT/RVT) encouraged, not required
• Comfort assisting with surgery and anesthesia
• Strong attention to detail and clinical observation skills
• Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
• Ability to thrive in a steady but fast-paced GP setting
