- Business Development Manager Sales Generator Focus

Status: Full-Time; FLSA Status: Exempt; Work Week: 40 hours; Hybrid Work Model; Initial Work Year: Six (6) months – extension contingent on
confirmed sales.
Salary: Base draw, plus commission (performance-driven)
Position Summary
We are hiring a proactive, results-driven Sales Manager whose primary responsibility is to generate new revenue. This role is focused on prospecting, closing business, and consistently hitting sales targets for Event Logistics, Inc.’s meeting, special event, and DMC services.
Key Qualifications
- Proven track record (minimum 5 years) of generating sales revenue – preferable in hospitality, events or service industries; equivalent education +
experience accepted. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales goals.
- Expert at prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and closing.
- Strong negotiation skills and a measurable history of converting prospects to booked business.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills; experience maintaining and leveraging client databases to drive repeatable revenue.
- Outstanding interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills; able to influence decision-makers at corporations and organizations.
- Solid time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
- Team player who can collaborate with the Operations team to build winning proposals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Actively generate new business through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Own the full sales cycle: identify leads, qualify opportunities, craft proposals, negotiate terms, close deals.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales and marketing plan focused on revenue growth and client acquisition-defined market segments.
- Act as company sales ambassador—cultivate long-term client relationships and strategic referral sources.
- Collaborate with operations to design compelling, profitable proposals and ensure seamless handoffs.
- Maintain regular client communications and follow-up to drive renewals and referrals.
- Track key sales metrics (pipeline value, conversion rates, average deal size, sales cycle length) and use data to optimize strategy.
- Take direction from executive management and align sales activities with company mission and revenue objectives.
Requirements
Candidates with a track record in consultative, service-driven sales will be most successful in this role; experience limited to hotel or event/venue sales may not align with the demands of this position. Base Salary with Commission.
